Voter Information
How to Update Voter Information
ID to update, add or remove voter information from the voters list
Use Voter Registration to check, update, add or remove your information from the voters list. You must upload one piece of ID showing both your name and home address, unless you are requesting a name change.
Alternatively, you can complete a paper application form.
Eligible electors who remove their information from the voters list can still vote but they will:
- not receive a voter information card when a provincial election is called in their electoral district; and
- need to register directly with their municipality or district social services administration board (DSSAB) election administration when a municipal or DSSAB election is called in their area.
ID includes most documents issued by the Government of Canada, the Government of Ontario or a municipality in Ontario.
